2017 End of Year Round Up
2017 has been a troublesome
year with broken friendships and lost loved ones, which only goes to show that
there is always trouble in paradise. We are, however, very pleased to say that
at this festive part of the year we are back on track and ready to move into
2018 with renewed vigour and the opportunity to develop our hobbies and new
friendships that have flourished this year. The garden is in its 10th year of
growth and we are in a phase of change. Last year I had promised never to start
a new garden but this year we have two new gardens taking shape and have had lots
of tasty veg out of the allotment. We
are taking our 1936 Morris out for a drive every month and look forward to the
meetings and rallies already organised in 2018.
We are both in good health, in ‘our JUS’ as they say in France but I am
still battling numerous food intolerances and Mike’s legs give him jip, on a
bad day. HOSS the dog is also troubled
with weak legs and we are giving him spoilt boy attention in his 12th
year hoping to give him a comfortable hobble to the end….. We are back on a
motor bike and have enjoyed the experience. Our friends enjoy a blatt in the countryside, followed by beer and BBQ so no complaints there. We have had many
lovely visits to Brevands this year and have visitors organised already for
next year which give us great times to look forward to. We are
still enthusiastic brocanteurs and I fill my etsy shop, maisonmamie, with tiny
French trinkets and manage to sell two or three items a week which has developed
into a productive little hobby that pays the petrol costs of going to buy. We celebrated our 10 years in Brevands in
August with a rip roaring Karaoke supper in the barn, it was so good to have
the barn back in action with so many wonderful people sharing our achievement
and happiness for our lovely life here in France.
We would
like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and prosperous 2018 xx
There will be a 2018 blog if you would like to receive
it please let us know as it will not be public anymore.
